Newgate Prison

Newgate Prison was a prison located in London. In 1900, thieves who broke into Aldridge's surgery would be put to sleep by his toxic bristles and wake up tied to the railings of Newgate Prison without memory of what had happened. The wardens called these "stork babies". (PROSE: A Big Hand for the Doctor)

When the Twelfth Doctor tried to show two pikemen his decoration with the Dunbar victory medal using his psychic paper, he was told to "Tell it to the Newgate gaoler." (TV: The Woman Who Lived)
