Paul Crompton, a British artist and illustrator, illustrated the Doctor Who annuals from 1976 - 1980. He also contributed to several Doctor Who colouring books and jigsaws during the 1970s and Doctor Who TV Comics.[1] Crompton was a figure artist when he joined World Distributors in 1973 as part of an eight person team of in-house artists and illustrators. In 1977 he created the first illustrated cover in five years for the Doctor Who Annuals. In 1979 Crompton become both a comic illustrator and writer.[1]
