A trailer advertising the app version of the Doctor and the Dalek was created in place of the CBBC website version. Nicholas Briggs voiced Lumpy in the trailer, who explained the story of the game, and Peter Capaldi voiced the Twelfth Doctor at the end of the trailer, telling people to "get on over to the app store".
