Caroline Lake was the wife of Jackson Lake and the mother of Frederic Lake. When her husband and son, she came to London in 1851, they were apprehended by the Cybermen because they were in possession of a large number of infostamps. She was backed into a corner by a group of Cybermen and, despite the efforts of her husband to save her, was killed by them. Her death caused Jackson to wish he was another man, making him believe himself to be an incarnation of the Doctor. Her son was taken by the Cybermen. (TV: The Next Doctor)
