Abydos was one of the leisure planets active in the 23rd century. (TV: The Leisure Hive) It was located in the Rim Worlds. (AUDIO: The One Doctor)
Its facilities were state-of-the-art in contemporary entertainments and methods of relaxation offering a wide variety of different possibilities such as: non-gravity swimming pools and sleep-reading stations, accelerated learning experiences, and possibly robotic gladiatorial games.
