Rita Kennedy was a resident of Canvey Island.
Rita had a daughter, Marjory Kennedy, who was murdered by Walter Seacombe while pregnant with Father Hemmings' baby. When Father Hemmings refused to give Marjory Last Rites, Rita turned the rest of the town against him.
