The White Rabbit was a Meercock.
After the Valceans destroyed their homeworld, the survivors tried to settle on Earth. However, their mistaken research led them to adopting bodies and identities resembling fictional characters.
The White Rabbit was blamed by the Federation for the Meercock invasion of Earth. He dug his way out of prison so he could tell his queen about Makorna, another world where they could settle. (PROSE: Verdigris)
