The Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere was the concept of a unified Asia to which Japan aspired prior to World War II. (PROSE: The Face of the Enemy)
This ambition precipitated the Japanese Empire's campaigns against Manchuria, China, (PROSE: The Shadow of Weng-Chiang, Log 384) Pearl Harbor, (PROSE: Only Connect) the Philippines (PROSE: Happily Ever After Is a High-Risk Strategy) Singapore (AUDIO: The Forsaken) and other Pacific Islands. (PROSE: Endgame)
The Co-Prosperity Sphere was ultimately never realised, as Japan surrendered to the Allies in 1945. (PROSE: Endgame, Log 384)
Parallel Universe
In a parallel Earth later ravaged by the Inferno Project, where World War II never happened, the Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere was successfully established. It represented Asia collectively as a member of the Conclave, a super cabinet designed to ensure world peace which was composed of the leaders of the planet's five continents. (PROSE: The Face of the Enemy)
