Qu'ran

The Qu'ran was the holy book of the religion of Islam. (PROSE: Head of State, AUDIO: The Feast of Magog) It described the teachings of the prophet Muhammed, including rules about what food was haram. It taught tolerance of Christians and Jews. In the 19th century many Muslims neglected the book's instructions. (PROSE: Head of State)
