The University Museum was over two hundred miles from West Barnton Airfield. Professor Sinclair worked there. The meteorite of sentient iron was brought there. After the Third Doctor examined it for a second time he deduced there was a faction of iron filings still active. (COMIC: The Metal Eaters)
