Neve's grandmother lived in Cardiff all her life. Neve theorised that her nan knew about Torchwood, but didn't consider Neve to be "Welsh enough" to know. When questioned, she told Neve that the gas board was the organisation responsible for saving all their lives, for over a hundred years.
