Blippar was an augmented reality phone app launched in 2013.

The app allowed for a page (carrying the Blip.it logo) to be scanned on a phone. It then took the user to additional content or added effects. The technology was notably used in the Radio Times Doctor Who 50th anniversary issue and was extended throughout other magazines published by the Immediate Media Company London Limited, including Doctor Who Adventures from issue 334 onwards.

The Blippar company collapsed on 17 December 2018.
