The cyclone created by the Zircon. (COMIC: Doomcloud).

A galactic cyclone was a dangerous magnetic storm that occurred very rarely. It would begin destructively powerful before losing energy as it travelled through space.

The Zircon caused one at their Emperor's command by exploding a dying planet, planning on using it to wipe out the people of Earth. The cyclone reached the Earth as a poison cloud lacking in much energy. The Third Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith (or the Fourth Doctor and Joan Brown) were able to stop it using static electricity to create a shield. (COMIC: Doomcloud)
