An assembly editor's job involves assembling scripts and preparing sequences for the editors, mostly by marking up sequences, splitting them up and labelling them, and by syncing, grouping and track-laying where necessary. They may also edit some sequences themselves, or assist the editors or producers in other ways.

As of 2019, the only credited assembly editor in a DWU production is Katrina Aust, who performed this job for The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot.
