Detention was a form of punishment in schools.
In November 2016, Miss Quill placed Charlie, Ram, April, Tanya and Matteusz into detention to keep them out of the way as she tried to get her arn removed. During the detention, the group were transported into no time and no space. (TV: Detained, The Metaphysical Engine, or What Quill Did)
When Flip Jackson was in Year Three, she was cast in her school talent show. Having never learned the poem she was assigned as she was given detention and extra homework for talking in class, she froze on stage before running away, and from then on had a phobia of performing on-stage.
