Anya was a pilgrim from Nixyce II. She watched her homeworld be invaded by the Daleks and intended to take her revenge by dealing a blow to the Daleks. She travelled to the Eye of Orion where she had heard of a Dalek weapons creation facility. She met the Eighth Doctor there and revealed to him that she intended to destroy the planet.
