The Colophon were the native species of the planet Colophos. They became extinct when one of their scientists, Astaroth Morax, released a bacterium that was lethal to the species. Morax offered his people the antidote but only if they were to bow down to him. The Colophon refused. The species eventually died with Morax. (AUDIO: Last of the Colophon)
