Edwin Green was a Killingworth miner.
The First Rani extracted chemicals from his brain, turning him violent. She sent him to kill the Tremas Master, but during the struggle, she feared that the vial of brain fluid would be smashed, so she killed Green instead. (TV: The Mark of the Rani)
