Egg Magnet was the avatar of Megan Tegg within the virtual world of Second Reality. Megan told Owen Harper that she named him after a band.
Egg met a strange woman who asked him to "open hailing frequencies". He later met Glendower Broadsword outside the Surer Square in Millennium Capitol, where he was being thrown onto the street for dancing on table tops. They talked together and realised they had a lot in common. When Megan realised that she was late for work, she logged out of the game and Egg spiralled out of existence.
