Kandol was a human from the colony Dephys 49. For tax reasons he chose to dwell in the Time Vortex for a year in a specially constructed hotel.
However, the controls of the hotel had been sabotaged, leading to the time winds leaking into the hotel. The inhabitants of the hotel unknowingly repeated events from their time in the hotel, waiting for the end of their self-imposed exile.
He was murdered by Leeth, though in one time shift Zoe Heriot was able to warn him and prevent the murder. (PROSE: Vortex of Fear)
