Martyn was an employee at the Charlton Archive who was friends with Thomas Flyte.
Mary Charlton had Martyn sent back in time by a Weeping Angel so that he could observe the past directly and hide documents which Mary could "discover" in 2010. Mary believed that the Angel had sent Martyn to the siege of Troy, but it had actually only sent him back to around 1960. Thomas Flyte found Martyn in 1960 and gave him a fake first-hand account of the siege of Troy which Martyn hid for Mary. (PROSE: Living History)
