Peter's father was a teacher. When he retired, he did several projects around the house, trying to keep busy.
He and his wife were possessed by an alien tree god named Goomba, whose essence was in the garden furniture owned by the family. Peter, helped by the Eighth Doctor, saved his parents and several neighbours from Goomba. (PROSE: The Wickerwork Man)
