Michael Moorcock (born 18 December 1939[1][2]) was the author of the Doctor Who novel The Coming of the Terraphiles. It was published in 2010 and was the first Doctor Who book in its format.
He also wrote the introduction to the 2012 BBC Books edition of Doctor Who and the Loch Ness Monster, and contributed to the charity reference book Behind the Sofa: Celebrity Memories of Doctor Who.
