Eustace O'Kane (d. 13 August, 1945) was the director of Hawthorne.

In 1945, his son Daniel used a knife to kill his mother and two sisters. Eustace chased him and asked why he did it before being stabbed himself. The community was rocked by the murders and Daniel was locked up in an asylum. Eustace's son Jeremiah took over Hawthorne.

At perihelion when Daniel and his son Peter Russell met, Daniel, Russell and Jeremiah had a shared vision of Eustace's murder. Jeremiah called for Daniel to resist the influence of the reservoir of evil. (HOMEVID: The Zero Imperative)
