Cover text

A nostalgic look back at the making of the 1960's Dalek movies Dr Who & The Daleks and Daleks – Invasion Earth 2150A.D. which starred Peter Cushing as Dr Who, with Roy Castle, Bernard Cribbins, Ray Brooks, Jennie Linden, Jill Curzon, Barrie Ingham and Roberta Tovey. Having wowed TV audiences since their original appearance in 1963, the dreaded Daleks first blasted their way onto the cinema screen in the summer of 1965 in glorious technicolour and Techniscope. Today the films are still a firm favourite with children of all ages on TV and video.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of both movies, this documentary reveals their history for the first time. From the extraordinary advertising campaigns, through the hilarious behind-the-scenes anecdotes to the amazing Dalek publicity appearances, via recently discovered archive material and newly shot interviews with the cast and crew, this tape is a must for all movie buffs, Dr Who fans and lovers of pure 60's kitsch!

Includes the uncut movie trailers, made available here on this video for the very first time!

  • The young boy and girl run out of the back door of the cinema and are confronted by Robomen, whilst a Dalek saucer hovers overhead.
  • TARDIS lands outside the cinema and the young boy and girl run to and hug their mother, as the cinema commissionaire looks on.
