Michael Kerrigan (2 November 1952-7 August 2014[1]) directed the Doctor Who television story Battlefield. He also directed two stories of the second series of The Sarah Jane Adventures: The Day of the Clown and Secrets of the Stars, making him one of the only directors (other than Graeme Harper) to direct stories in both the classic and modern eras of the franchise.

Among his other directorial work was the ITV serial Knights of God, which was the final broadcast TV appearance of Patrick Troughton.
