Burn Gorman played Owen Harper in series one and series two of Torchwood. He returned to the franchise in 2017 with Big Finish's Corpse Day. Outside of Torchwood, Gorman is best known for his role as William Guppy in Bleak House.

He has appeared in several films, notably Fred Claus, Pacific Rim, The Dark Knight Rises and Johnny English Reborn. In 2011, he appeared in The Hour, with Jessica Hynes playing his wife.
