[[T:CHAR NAMES]] was cited as a reason why this must be renamed '''John Hinckley'''. Quick question: ..why? T:CHAR NAMES says nothing to not allow "Jr" and the like in people's names. : The rename suggestion is based on the quote from the above-mentioned policy: "'''In most cases, you should title an article with the first and last name of a character.'''" The example provided in the policy shows that middle name should not be part of the page title. Since neither middle names nor suffixes are explicitly mentioned in the policy, they should all be treated the same way. There is no reason to have a page named with "Jr" unless it is used to disambiguate from another guy, who is "Sr". The rename suggestion is based on the quote from the above-mentioned policy: "In most cases, you should title an article with the first and last name of a character." The example provided in the policy shows that middle name should not be part of the page title. Since neither middle names nor suffixes are explicitly mentioned in the policy, they should all be treated the same way. There is no reason to have a page named with "Jr" unless it is used to disambiguate from another guy, who is "Sr". Amorkuz 17:25, March 26, 2017 (UTC)
