Cantryans, or Kantrians, were orange-skinned humanoids with three stubby fingers on each hand (PROSE: Placebo Effect) and thin blood. (PROSE: Legacy) Their species originated on the tropical paradise planet Kantra, (TV: Destiny of the Daleks) though they preferred shade.
Though they were not very religious, Cantryans did have rituals and ceremonies, particularly involving the dead. Non-Cantryans were not permitted to services where the bodies of deceased Cantryans were put in laser furnaces for cremation.
By the 40th century the Cantryans were a part of the Galactic Federation, with one of their own serving as the Chair. (PROSE: Legacy)
One Cantryan had been captured by the Daleks and forced to work on Skaro, where he died from exhaustion. (TV: Destiny of the Daleks)
