Dalek thrusters were located at the very bottom of the Dalek casing's travel unit, which was visible when they ascended to hover position via the antigravity mechanism of the elevation unit, with the thrusters glowing blue while doing so. (PROSE: Engines of War, Prisoner of the Daleks)
