Dalek thrusters were located at the very bottom of the Dalek casing's travel unit, which was visible when they ascended to hover position via the antigravity mechanism of the elevation unit. (PROSE: Engines of War, Prisoner of the Daleks) While doing so, the thrusters of Imperial Daleks glowed orange, (TV: Remembrance of the Daleks) while the thrusters of the predominantly bronze Daleks of the Second Dalek War, Last Great Time War and beyond glowed blue.
