Beatrix Butcher was a daughter of the local butcher from Tranchard's Fell and lived with him in the butcher's shop. She warned the Eighth Doctor about Agnes Bates being a witch. Despite this, in exchange for some galdrium, she took him to Vetter's Tor where a spaceship landed. After witnessing the spaceship and a horned and hooved alien inside, she accused the Doctor of consorting with the devil, causing them both to be tried by John Kincaid, the Witch-Pricker. They were both sentenced to being burned alive. Although the execution was stopped, it was too late to save her. (AUDIO: The Witch from the Well)
