The Earl of Leicester, also known as the Lord of Leicester or simply Leicester, was a knight who served under King Richard I of England during the Crusades. In 1190, he opposed the King's plan to make peace with the Saracens. He suspected the First Doctor of collaborating with the Saracens and almost had him executed until Ian Chesterton rescued him.
