Blood on Santa's Claw and Other Stories was the two hundred and fifty-ninth release in Big Finish's monthly range. It featured Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Nicola Bryant as Peri Brown.
It contained four individual stories, all based on the theme of Christmas, and introduced a new companion for the Sixth Doctor, Joe.

- According to the Interviews, Nev Fountain did write the first three stories in the anthology (BFX: Blood on Sanat's Claw and Other Stories). The names of the "writers" of the first three stories are plays on the words alter-ego, pseudonym and alias respectively.
