Rose is infatuated with him and eventually falls in love with him. The doctor loves her too and considers her as his girlfriend (confirmed by David Tennant the tenth doctor) he claims that he loved Rose so much because she reawakened the light in him. The doctor doesn’t like Mickey to begin with calling him “Mickey the Idiot” . But as the series goes on the doctor and Mickey respect each other and respect that both care for Rose.
