You can not have Doctor Who without the Daleks. And I think that the cybermen are game too since that are not classic monsters in the new series sense. [[User:Geffe71|Geffe71]] 16:37, January 7, 2010 (UTC)

The Howling → Series 5 Monsters, Villains and Aliens
There be spoilers about un-released stories here.
Run back to the forums if you're scared.

Here is a list of the confirmed (Monsters, Villains and/or Aliens) that will appear in Series 5:

  • Weeping Angels
  • Vampires In Tudor Dress
  • (What Seems to be) The Classic Daleks or Revamped Daleks
  • Armed Reptilians
  • A Yellow Monster (That Van Gogh will stab)

Steven Moffat announced in the January 2010 addition of the Doctor Who Magazine that there would be no "classic monsters" returning, however he did list several new species of monsters that are set to debut in the new series:

  • The Timoreen
  • The Skraskish
  • The Ha'rik

(These Names Could Apply to any of the unnamed creatures above or could be different)

Also if Steven Moffat has announced that no "classic monsters" will be returning then what explains the Daleks appearing?? Michael Downey 12:16, January 7, 2010 (UTC)

This could also mean that the Monster, Villain and/or Alien that will be in Finale will be new and won't be an old enemy which probably rules out:

  • The Ice Warriors
  • Sea Devils/Silurians
  • Zygons
  • The Rani
  • The Black Guardian
  • Omega
