A fourth series of Torchwood has been "greenlit" according to interviews given by John Barrowman in late November 2009.[1][2] It has not yet been officially announced by the BBC as of 1st December 2009. No production schedule or broadcast dates have been announced by the BBC. Russell T. Davies is expected to continue as producer despite having left this position with Doctor Who (based upon comments made by him at the San Diego Comic Con in August 2009), however this has yet to be made official by the BBC.

Broadcast dates

The BBC has not, as of 1st December 2009, announced a broadcast date for the series. Given that the BBC tends not to make such announcements until soon before broadcast, any statements suggesting a 2010 or 2011 broadcast must be taken as speculative for the time being.
