Pete was a morgue attendant at Walker General Hospital. He took in the Doctor's body after he died during surgery. Later, while Pete watched the 1931 film version of Frankenstein, the Doctor regenerated into his eighth incarnation and burst out of the morgue. This so frightened Pete that he fainted.
