Emily Cook worked as an editorial assistant on Doctor Who Magazine.
In 2020, Cook organised the Who at Home event during the outbreak of COVID-19, which kept many people around the world in their homes. As part of this event, she also produced Strax Saves the Day, a new Steven Moffat-penned video introduction to The Day of the Doctor, the first episode to be shared.
