The Battle of Skull Moon was a battle in the Last Great Time War witnessed by Dalek Caan (PROSE: Dalek Caan) after he flew back into the Time War with the intent of rescuing Davros from the Nightmare Child. (TV: The Stolen Earth)
The War Doctor took command in the "slaughter" of Skull Moon, (PROSE: The Day of the Doctor) with "the Butcher of SKull Moon" becoming a title for the Doctor known to the Testimony. (TV: Twice Upon a Time) Gastron was among the Time Lord soldiers who fought with him at Skull Moon, earning the Doctor Gastron's loyalty when Rassilon later tried to turn the Time Lord military against the Doctor.
