À la recherche du temps perdu was written by Marcel Proust. It was comprised of more than two volumes.
The Seventh Doctor described the story as being long and easily summarised. He and Hex used copies of the first two volumes in an escape due to their absorbency. (AUDIO: Muse of Fire)
