The First Doctor conveyed the message "Hello" to Catherine from her mum and dad as part of a long series of personal interactions from the Doctor that started when he began expressing good tidings to viewers at Christmas. Steven Taylor heavily disliked this and thought it should have been nipped in the bud then. (NOTVALID: Doctor Who? 144)
