A circuit probe was a device used by the acid miners of St John's Monastery in the 22nd century. Firing about 40,000 volts, it was capable of killing humans and Gangers alike. The Eleventh Doctor called it a "glorified cattle prod". Miranda Cleaves used one to "decommission" the Ganger Buzzer, stopping his heart. (TV: The Rebel Flesh)
