Does Salamander exist in the modern continuity? It's 2018 now and the show makes no reference to World Zones or the like. Granted the last few years of the modern series have been pretty coy about when they take place, ever since they jumped ahead a few years at the end of Rory and Amy's tenure. First name[[edit source]]

Where is Salamander's first name stated? I swear I've heard it too but for the life of me I can't recall where. Leda74 10:57, July 13, 2013 (UTC)

Good question. It doesn't appear in the TV story, and it doesn't seem to be in the credits, so maybe it's in the novelization? Shambala108 14:00, July 13, 2013 (UTC)

I've done a bit of research, and I've found only one possibility. The audio story The Glorious Revolution supposedly has Jamie McCrimmon mentioning Salamander. I don't know if that's where the "Ramon" comes from, or if the writer of the audio story's article just put in "Ramon" because that's what we have for his article. It would help if we could find someone who has listened to that story. Shambala108 14:43, July 13, 2013 (UTC)
The only place which gives Salamander a first name is David Whitaker's storyline for the novelization, which was reprinted in DWM 200. Doug86 18:22, July 13, 2013 (UTC)
Great, thanks! Is there any way we can cite that on the article? Shambala108 19:14, July 13, 2013 (UTC)

Modern Series[[edit source]]

Does Salamander exist in the modern continuity? It's 2018 now and the show makes no reference to World Zones or the like. Granted the last few years of the modern series have been pretty coy about when they take place, ever since they jumped ahead a few years at the end of Rory and Amy's tenure. Yes, he still does. Pretty much all of Doctor Who contradicts itself. Time travel be like that. Also, there isn't a modern or classic continuity: It's all the same universe. Never Forget The Day The 456 Arrived 21:04, May 30, 2020 (UTC)
