The Day of the Troll is the sixth book in the BBC's exclusive audio range. It was performed by David Tennant and written by Dan Abnett. Released by BBC Audio as a part of their ongoing line of original, single-actor plays, it went on sale on 7 January 2010, a week after Tennant's final televised adventure was originally broadcast.

The TARDIS materialises on board the maiden voyage of a pioneering space cruiser, travelling from Earth to the planet Eternity. The Doctor hasn't been exploring for long when nearly all of the passengers disappear, leaving a panic-stricken few behind. As if that wasn't enough, something awful awaits them all on Eternity.
