George S. Patton

Patton was a general of the US Army during World War II. As the Allies' conflict with Nazi Germany was drawing to a close, he advocated the instigation of a new conflict against the Soviet Union, intending to keep his tanks rolling all the way to Moscow. Patton was later killed in a car accident. The KGB suspected the Americans themselves had organised his death to hush up the talk of further war. Patton was dismissed as mad by Russian leader Joseph Stalin, who claimed that even the Americans viewed him as such. (PROSE: Endgame)
