Alex Evening was a clerk.
He discovered a Q'Dhite ship and used it to create a fantasy world. He kidnapped women and brought them into that world to abuse them. The Seventh Doctor brought Alex's mother into the world, which destroyed it. This also put Alex into a coma from which he never emerged. (COMIC: Evening's Empire)
