Target Books' Doctor Who output in 1993 completed the Second Doctor's adventures with two Dalek stories. In a sense, however, these novelisations aren't very much like their predecessors, in that they have a more "adult" page count and reading level. Nevertheless, they were Target's final novelisations of televised stories. Having said that, Target finished a few books shy of having novelised all the serials of the original Doctor Who. There were cases, as with Douglas Adams-penned scripts, where the author refused permission for adaptation.
