Barry Williams was Rhys Williams's father. He and Brenda were happy when Rhys became a scout as it meant that they could resume their sex life. (AUDIO: Visiting Hours) He used to listen to "easy listening" music, similar to the style which was on Radio 2, (PROSE: Slow Decay) and had a garage. (AUDIO: Sargasso)
Barry was attending Rhys and Gwen Cooper's wedding when the Nostrovite disguised as Carrie and, later, his wife attacked. Prior to the Nostrovite attack, Barry had tried to persuade Rhys not to go ahead with the wedding. (TV: Something Borrowed)
