Chao was a planet in the Andromeda Galaxy. It had forests in which the first part of a device required by the Cult of Shining Darkness was hidden. The Cult visited the planet before their encounter with the Tenth Doctor and Donna Noble in orbit around the planet Uhlala. (PROSE: Shining Darkness)
